I’ve recently gotten close with someone I never thought I would and I was thinking about her title as my friend. We’ve been there for each other a lot over this year, good things and really hard, bad ones. So I questioned myself, would I call her one of my best friends? Or just one of my closest friends? And then I figured out what makes someone my close friend and what makes someone my best friend: history. My very best friend is just that because of the many years we’ve shared that contained the very good and the completely awful. So I think that as long as this close friend and I maintain the friendship we have right now I can definitely see her being a life long best friend to add to the two amazing ones I’ve already got.
